Our ski resort was opened in 1990 by seven passionate local JR East employees as the world's first resort business project directly connected to a Shinkansen station. Since its launch, it has been used by many customers, mainly from the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Its greatest appeal is its easy Access, just 71 minutes by Shinkansen from the Tokyo metropolitan area, and its high altitude of 1,181 meters means excellent snow quality and a wide variety of courses for beginners to advanced skiers. Furthermore, when combined with the neighboring Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort and Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort, the "YUZAWA SNOW LINK" forms a vast Snow Resort with a total of 48 courses.
We also work with the local cities of Yuzawa, Minamiuonuma, and Tokamachi, aiming to invigorate the area together with the locals. We will provide services that incorporate the unique culture and food of the region, and deliver new discoveries and excitement to all who visit.
In recent years, we have been focusing on year-round operations, not just in the winter season, but also during the summer and autumn tourist seasons, to bring the charms of the Yuzawa area to our guests in each season. In winter, you can enjoy ski or snowboard on the beautiful snow-covered Trail, and in summer and autumn, you can enjoy trekking and other outdoor activities in the great outdoors.
We will continue to strive to be an all-season resort, working together with the local community to provide new value to our customers based on safety and security.
